Job summary

Seagate Technology Singapore Operations Quality & Analytics is seeking a Shift Operator to perform in-process quality inspections and support ESD checks across production lines. You will participate in OBA audits, record results, and assist QA engineers and line leaders while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires flexibility for permanent night shifts, the ability to work 12-hour shifts, and weekend/public holiday coverage, with baseline computer skills and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process quality inspections by following standard procedures and work instructions.
  • Conduct Out-of-Box Audit (OBA) inspections to check product quality and workmanship.
  • Support QC activities during assigned shifts, including Backend Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) inspections and weekly Gemba walks.
  • Record inspection results accurately and report any defects or issues to QA Engineers or line leaders.
  • Support customer audits or visits by preparing inspection records and assisting as required.
  • Assist with additional quality-related tasks assigned by Quality Engineers, such as trial checks or verification activities.
  • Follow safety rules, ESD requirements, and backend process discipline to ensure safe and smooth production operations.

About our group:

Seagate Technology Singapore Operations Quality & Analytics organization helps to protect and improve Seagate’s Total Customer Experience Develop, deploy, and sustain End-To-End Quality Analytics and Processes to provide trusted, actionable information enabling earlier detection and prevention of HDD and System issues. Drive In-Process Quality is a subgroup of OQ&A to protect HDD quality through in-process audits, Control and Monitor Material and Process parametric.

About the role - you will:

  • Willing to perform permanent night shift.
  • Able to carry work items up to 5kg
    • Standing hours: 2 to 4 hours
    • Willing to work 12-hrs shift
    • Prepared to work on Weekends and Public Holidays
    • Shift Pattern: Work 3 days, Rest 2 days or Work 2 days, Rest 3 days (3-2-2-3 Work Pattern)
    • Day Shift : 7.30am – 7.45pm
    • Night Shift : 7.30pm – 7.45am
    • Meal & Rest Break: 45 mins & 30 mins
About you:
