Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring a Manufacturing Operator at our Gul Circle facility in Singapore to set up and operate equipment used in the production of GeneChip probe arrays, ensuring high quality output and optimal production efficiency. You will follow ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820, handle chemicals safely, and maintain cleanroom discipline.

The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts and a willingness to work in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary level.
• NTC in engineering related fields.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work performed adheres to ISO 13485:2003 and 21 CFR Part 820 requirements. Report any non-compliance to Manufacturing Engineers immediately.
• Perform routine and repetitive tasks within clearly defined parameters. Operate equipment as required and maintain proper housekeeping in the cleanroom.
• Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals per safety guidelines and SOPs; use PPE and report spills or exposure immediately.
• Develop good working habits and inform the Technical Specialist of issues with tools or products; notify MEs of downtime or defects.
• Follow safety procedures and keep workspace clean; report unsafe acts to the Team Leader.
• Provide feedback to Team Leaders regarding inappropriate behavior or poor work habits on the manufacturing line.

How will you make an impact?

As a Manufacturing Operator, you will set up and operate various equipment used in the production of GeneChip® probe arrays, ensuring high-quality output and optimal production efficiency.

What will you do?

• Ensure all work performed adheres to ISO 13485:2003 and 21 CFR Part 820 requirements. Report any non-compliance t operational procedures by Manufacturing Associates (MAs) to Manufacturing Engineers (MEs) immediately.

• Perform routine and repetitive tasks within clearly defined parameters. Operate equipment as required and maintain proper housekeeping standards in the cleanroom environment.

• Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any chemical spills, leaks, or exposure incidents immediately.

• Develop good working habits and promptly inform the Technical Specialist of any issues encountered with tools or products. Notify MEs immediately in the event of excessive tool downtime or product defects.

• Follow all safety procedures and always maintain a clean and organized workspace. Report any unsafe acts or conditions to the Team Leader immediately.

• Provide feedback to Team Leaders regarding any inappropriate behavior or poor work habits observed on the manufacturing line.

• NTC in engineering related fields

Experience

• 1 - 3 years related hands-on production/processing experience in wafer fabrication production/photolithography environment

• Those with no relevant experience but willing to work in clean room environment and 12-hour shift can apply

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Able to perform simple mathematical calculations

• Able to write legibly and with attention to details

• Must be meticulous in operating the machines

• Able to perform 12 hours rotating shift

• No color-blindness

• Good team player
