Job description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Automation & Robotics Development – Evaluate, specify, recommend, and commission customized automated equipment to achieve cost reduction, quality enhancement, and production modernization.
Capital Expenditure Justification – Conduct cost/benefit analyses and prepare capital appropriation requests (CAR) for automation investments.
Project Documentation – Develop Statements of Work (SOW), machine specifications, and FAT/SAT reports.
Process Optimization – Analyze operational challenges and implement engineering solutions for existing and new processes.
Robotic & Line Control Programming – Perform robotic system programming in line with industry and Collins Aerospace guidelines.
Safety & Compliance – Conduct risk assessments and ensure robotic system safety aligns with EHS and industry standards.
Project Management & Quality Control – Utilize CORE quality tools to drive project success, maintain schedules, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Qualifications & Work Experience:
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field).
Minimum 3 years’ experience in delivering robotic and automated solutions.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Experience with CAD/CAM software (Unigraphics, AutoCAD, etc.).
Competence in industrial robot programming (RoboGuide, RobotStudio, Robotmaster).
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and automation deployment.
Programming skills in C++, Python, or open-source languages (preferred).
Experience in PLC/HMI programming for robot interfaces (advantageous).
Lean Six Sigma or equivalent problem-solving methodology.
Location: East Side | Schedule: Monday–Friday (Day Shift Only)
