Impact in This Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support and improve our manufacturing functions, working at the interface between our builders (customers) and manufacturing partners. Your role involves reviewing manufacturability and costs of fabrication processes such as CNC machining, 3D printing, and others, and recommending design modifications to meet customer needs. You will develop competitive proposals and quotations to help bring products to market faster across various industries, contributing significantly to Fictiv's growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Release Package Review: Analyze models, drawings, and data to determine scope, feasibility, and manufacturing requirements.
2. Quoting: Generate quotes by combining your analysis with Fictiv’s software recommendations or collaborating with external suppliers.
3. Calculator Generation: Develop cost calculators based on fabrication expertise to facilitate in-house quoting for new services.
4. DFx Feedback: Provide design feedback to improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and ease assembly.
5. Automation Feedback: Collaborate with the quoting software team to enhance automated quoting accuracy.
6. Drawing Generation: Create high-quality 2D drawings adhering to ANSI/ASME Y14.5 standards.

• 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
