A manufacturing solutions company in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to establish manufacturing procedures and drive continuous improvement within the organization. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of engineering experience and be skilled in precision machining and CAD/CAM applications. Strong problem-solving skills are essential. The role offers a salary range of $3,500 - $5,000 and works Monday to Friday.

• Establish manufacturing procedures and proper documentation control.
• Build new Manufacturing Job Instruction Sheets (JIS), NC program, and Tool/Gauge plan with Siemens NX.
• Initiate productivity improvement activities.
• Resolve technical issues relating to customer feedback.
• Perform feasibility studies for manufacturing capacity improvements.
• Initiate continuous improvement activities.

Job description

Manufacturing Engineer

• Monday to Friday (8am - 5.15pm)
• Salary Range: $3,500 - $5,000
• Location: Changi North / Bedok South
• 2 years contract convertible

Roles & Responsibilities

• Establish manufacturing procedures and proper documentation control.
• Build new Manufacturing Job Instruction Sheets (JIS), NC program, and Tool/Gauge plan with Siemens NX.
• Initiate productivity improvement activities including equipment/fixture selection, design and deployment.
• Resolve technical issues relating to internal and external customers' feedback.
• Perform feasibility studies in the manufacturing capacity improvement, layout improvements and expansion.
• Initiate continuous improvement activities to existing manufacturing system and its related processes.
• Participate actively in company-wide productivity and quality programs.
• Put up justification for capital expenditure (CAPEX).

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Degree in engineering or related discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision, Material)
• At least 3 years’ working experience

Preferred Skills (if any)

• Competent in Unigraphics and/or other CAD/CAM applications.
• Strong understanding and hands on with precision machining tool (CNC 5-Axis / lathe / milling etc.).
• Able to interpret drawing and GD & T (Geometric Dimensioning & tolerancing)
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
