East Singapore | Aerospace Industry | Productivity-Focused Role

Are you ready to play a key role in shaping modern manufacturing processes in the aerospace industry? We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a forward-thinking aerospace company in East Singapore. This is a 1-year contract role offering excellent exposure to precision engineering, process optimization, and hands-on improvement projects that will give your career a serious edge.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Define the Process: Develop, implement, and document manufacturing procedures to ensure process consistency and compliance.
  • Hands-On Engineering: Create detailed Manufacturing Job Instruction Sheets (JIS), NC programs, and tool/gauge plans using Siemens NX.
  • Boost Productivity: Identify and implement improvement activities—from equipment and fixture design to workflow optimization.
  • Solve Real Problems: Address technical challenges from internal teams and external customers with practical, data-driven solutions.
  • Drive Expansion & Growth: Conduct feasibility studies for capacity increases, layout enhancements, and manufacturing scalability.
  • Improve Continuously: Lead and support initiatives that enhance existing processes and overall system performance.
  • Collaborate Company-Wide: Take part in cross-functional productivity and quality improvement programs.
  • Plan for the Future: Prepare and justify CAPEX proposals for critical investments in manufacturing efficiency.
Who We’re Looking For:
  • A Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision, Materials, or similar).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills & Qualities:
  • Proficient in Unigraphics (Siemens NX) and/or other CAD/CAM tools.
  • Strong hands-on understanding of precision machining: CNC 5-axis, milling, lathe, etc.
  • Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and applying GD&T.
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • A natural team player with a proactive mindset for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working rotating shifts.
