To supervise, execute, and monitor activities within the value stream to ensure reliable and optimal operation of processes, equipment, utilities, and facilities to achieve target production levels within current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), quality, safety, occupational hygiene, and environmental protection standards.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with relevant parties to develop the monthly production schedule, ensuring timely material support and optimizing bulk drug substance production to minimize holding costs.
  • Assess situations, plan, and implement process campaign turnaround activities; coordinate and track shift team progress to ensure adherence to production plans.
  • Identify and implement improvements to plant facilities, processes, and operations; troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize safety and quality risks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead or support investigations related to quality or safety, using appropriate problem-solving tools to determine root causes and implement CAPA to prevent recurrence.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and participate in plant modifications, capital project implementations, commissioning, and tie-ins.
  • Conduct audits and investigations, prepare for audits, and complete required actions to ensure GMP and safety compliance.
  • Prepare documentation related to manufacturing, plant turnaround, Work Instructions, SOPs, and training manuals, ensuring they meet Data Integrity and ALCOA principles.
  • Contribute to Periodic Product Review, Computer System Review, Cleaning Validation Review, and Engineering Technical Review.
  • Support new product introductions or plant trials, preparing necessary documentation within stipulated timelines.
  • Participate in qualification phases (OQ and PQ).
  • Provide M-ERP support as BPE if assigned.
  • Manage change control processes and follow up on closures.
  • Ensure equipment, tools, and consumables are available and maintain housekeeping during and after campaigns.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Honours degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or petrochemical industry.
  • Knowledge of product, production processes, and plant operations.
  • Basic engineering and statistical knowledge.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of GMP, safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Auditing skills.
