SME Careers is seeking a highly skilled localization/translation professional for an hourly, fully remote contractor role. You will review AI-generated content, evaluate reasoning quality, and provide expert feedback to ensure outputs are accurate, clear, and well-explained.

You will apply Mandarin localization judgment alongside strong English proficiency to maintain consistent terminology and tone across use cases.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, Localization, Communications, or related field.
Native or near-native Chinese (Mandarin) with strong China locale conventions.
Minimum C1 English proficiency for prompts and guidelines.
5+ years of professional localization/translation experience.
Experience applying MQM/LQA concepts to quality decisions.
Proficiency with CAT tools and QA workflows and structured guidelines.
Excellent editorial judgment with attention to detail.
Ability to fact-check localized content using reliable sources.
Comfort as an hourly contractor across time zones.
