Job summary
A leading banking institution is seeking an experienced banking professional to oversee operational management and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing performance. This role entails managing teams, fostering client relationships, and ensuring compliance while navigating the complexities of banking operations. A graduate degree and a minimum of 15 years in Banking & Finance, including substantial Corporate Banking experience, are required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of Banking & Finance experience, with at least 10 years in Corporate Banking.
- Proficiency in Japanese is advantageous for communications with head office in Japan.

- Formulate plans to enhance performance and manage administration.
- Conduct and manage moneylending business, including domestic and foreign exchange transactions.

- Formulate comprehensive plans for the achievement of higher performance, and take charge of administration and management thereof
- Develop specific measures for making efficient use of management resources, and take charge of implementation and furtherance thereof
- Take charge of conducting and maintaining the moneylending business, and increasing deposits
- Take charge of facilitation of domestic exchange transactions, foreign exchange transactions and other tasks
- Strictly exercise profit management, and endeavor to assure and increase profits
- Promote good relationship with customers or other business connections, and strive to establish foundations for achieving higher performance
- Take charge of establishing and promoting a bank-wide cooperation business framework
- Take charge of administering, managing and improving overall administrative affairs in the office.
- Endeavor to enforce observance of regulations and instructions of the Global Banking Unit, and take charge of maintaining and administering discipline in the office
- Strive to develop better relationship in the office, stimulate morale
- Develop and implement plans for education and training for subordinates, and provide guidance on and supervise performance of duties thereof
- Manage the working situation of subordinates, and handle various matters regarding personnel affairs and welfare
- This role shall request department representative offices (including other units) based in the same office to deliver reports as necessary, and take charge of daily business management of the entire office
Job Requirements
- Graduate degree from university
- Strong written & verbal communication skills in English
- Minimum 15 years Banking & Finance experience with at least 10 years of Corporate Banking experience
- Experience in leading and managing teams.
- To derive a pareto optimization between profits and resources
- To demonstrate strategic and creative thinking in their area of business.
- To have a strong appreciation of the inherent risks that are involved in achieving goals
- To propagate in their team a compliance first mind set
- Ability to manage change
- Proficiency in Japanese language is advantages as this role requires for regular communication with the head office in Japan.
