Job Description:

Manages a team of 25+ Specialized Product Sales associates based in APAC, covering all Lines of Business (LOBs), and consolidates disciplines within the SPS team (Trade, Card, Core Cash, and Liquidity) under one leader to align globally within the SPS organization. This role is focused on driving net new revenues and expanding client relationships for the GPS product suite, working closely with stakeholders such as RMs, TSOs, and Product teams. The APAC SPS head is responsible for coordinating sales activities, developing new business, and expanding existing business with a focus on responsible growth. The role involves extensive client contact within the region and requires a strong understanding of Treasury Product Solutions, including Trade, Card, Liquidity, and Core Cash, to assess new solutions in line with economic trends. The position reports to the Global co-heads of SPS and collaborates with the GPS Head of APAC.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire and develop a motivated sales team, develop sales strategies to maximize growth within risk parameters, and optimize relationship profitability.
  • Partner closely with Product, Region Heads, Markets, TSOs, Investment Banking, Corporate Bankers, and Risk teams globally.
  • Manage resources and performance, including hiring, goal setting, performance reviews, and HR matters.
  • Lead through effective leadership, including strategy presentation, coaching, role modeling teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
  • Maintain client focus, deep product and industry expertise, and a broad understanding of the bank's structure.
  • Represent the bank at internal and industry events globally.

The SPS head is accountable for revenue and pipeline growth, client selection, portfolio development, pricing, and client planning. Success requires maintaining a strong client focus, industry and product knowledge, and understanding operational aspects of client products and services, complemented by strong interpersonal, financial, communication, and presentation skills.

Required Skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in serving and selling sophisticated treasury solutions across client segments.
  • Strong business, commercial, and origination skills.
  • Deep knowledge of Trade, Card, Core Cash, and Merchant services, with awareness of the evolving global payments landscape.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Willingness to travel over 50%, including globally.
