Job description

We are looking for a highly experienced Managing Director with deep expertise in project finance and large-scale infrastructure development. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in identifying, developing, financing, and executing infrastructure projects, including but not limited to mining, oil refining, and power plant developments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of high-value infrastructure projects (USD 100M and above) from origination to execution
  • Identify and assess new project opportunities through established industry relationships and networks
  • Oversee financial structuring and secure project funding through partnerships with local and international banks
  • Negotiate project financing terms, EPC contracts, and other critical commercial/legal agreements
  • Provide technical oversight during the design, construction, and operational phases of projects
  • Build strategic partnerships with governments, engineering firms, and institutional investors
  • Represent the company in key stakeholder discussions, ensuring alignment of interests across all parties

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in project finance, especially in large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects
  • Proven track record managing infrastructure developments over USD 100 million in value
  • Strong professional network within banks, financial institutions, and project developers
  • In-depth knowledge of project financing structures, EPC contracts, and legal/commercial negotiations
  • Technical knowledge in engineering, construction, and operations of complex assets such as mining sites, refineries, and power plants
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field; MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification preferred
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively , particularly to project locations in Africa, South America, Middle East and Southeast Asia
