Job Summary:
Leading as Managing Director to set up and grow a Singapore based petrochemical startup targeting the Indian market. Responsible for strategic planning , operations setup , client acquisition . Overseeing marketing , sales and compliance to ensure sustainable business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Strategy & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute India-focused growth strategies, including market entry, client acquisition, and revenue scaling.
- Identify key opportunities in India’s petrochemical demand (e.g., polymers, specialty chemicals, refinery products).
- Build and manage relationships with Indian clients (refineries, manufacturers, traders) and government bodies.
2. Operations & Supply Chain Management
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain, procurement, and logistics between Singapore and India.
- Ensure cost-efficient feedstock sourcing, inventory management, and distribution.
- Navigate India’s import/export regulations, GST, customs, and trade policies.
3. Financial & Commercial Leadership
- Lead P&L, budgeting, and financial planning with a focus on India-market profitability.
- Structure competitive pricing models, contracts, and payment terms for Indian clients.
4. Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Indian regulations (DGFT, PCRA, PESO) and Singapore trade laws.
- Monitor policy changes (e.g., PLI schemes, import duties) impacting petrochemical trade.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.A. (Hons) in Sociology
Experience:
- 7+ years in petrochemicals/oil & gas, with 15+ years in leadership VP.
- Proven track record in India’s petrochemical market—understanding of pricing, demand cycles, and key players (Reliance, GAIL, IOCL, etc.).
Skills:
- Strong negotiation & client management skills for Indian corporate culture.
- Expertise in petrochemical trading, risk management, and forex hedging.
