About the Department
The Compliance function is a strategic partner and a trusted business enabler to the Board and senior management. It is our responsibility to ensure that the Group continuously fulfils its regulatory obligations in today's tight and dynamic regulatory landscape. To do that, we work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and to assess regulatory risks. This collaboration also includes developing practical solutions that integrate regulations into operational requirements as well as actively shaping and promoting stronger compliance culture and literacy in the Bank.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the review of the alerts triggered by (i) Group approved AML transaction monitoring system(s), (ii) escalations on unusual AML/CFT activities from business/support units and (iii) cases arising from other relevant sources (e.g. adverse news reported in media), are performed in accordance with Group standards.
  2. Prepare and submit suspicious transaction/activity reports to the relevant local law enforcement authorities or Financial Intelligence Units in accordance with AML/CFT legislative and regulatory requirements as well as Group standards.
  3. Provide relevant advisory to business/support units and other AML/CFT teams on matters relating to transaction monitoring review and investigation conducted by the unit.
  4. Perform analysis of suspicious transaction/activity reports to identify AML/CFT risk trends to support the AML/CFT risk management and controls within the Group.
  5. Maintain proper documentation and record keeping of review and investigation cases performed in accordance with Group standards.
  6. Provide support to strengthen the transaction surveillance and investigation operating framework and procedures across the Group.

Job Requirements
  1. Minimum 3 years experience in intelligence/investigation related work.
  2. Good knowledge/understanding of banking and financial services laws and regulations, compliance best practices and understanding of financial products and systems.
  3. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  4. Experience in intelligence/investigation-related work.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
