What the role is:

As part of a dynamic and purpose-driven team working to achieve STB’s strategic outcomes, you will play a key role as a trusted business partner to departments across the organisation. You’ll work closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs and provide thoughtful, solutions-oriented advice on procurement and risk matters.

What you will be working on:

Your involvement will focus on providing in-depth assistance for selected high-priority procurements, helping to ensure sound and compliant decision-making that supports business units' goals.

This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise and broaden your influence, as you contribute to building organisational capabilities through delivering training in procurement, risk management, and business continuity planning.

You will also be actively involved in reviewing and enhancing policies/resources for procurement, enterprise risk management, business continuity planning and other areas under the department’s purview—driving continuous improvement and contributing to the organisation’s long-term resilience.

What we are looking for:

  • Able to synthesize complex scenarios and offer solutions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Experience in a public sector department advising on or handling procurement, Enterprise Risk Management or Business Continuity Planning will be an advantage
  • Showing good business acumen, analytical thinking and judgement
