Job summary

Edelman Singapore is seeking a Manager in the Technology Sector team to guide integrated communications programmes for leading technology brands. You will serve as a trusted advisor, translating client priorities into strategic campaigns spanning planning, media engagement, executive positioning and thought leadership.

You will lead multi-account programs, mentor team members, and help grow Edelman’s Asia‑Pacific technology practice through strong client relationships and new business

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in communications marketing or related fields (research, advertising, management consulting, media, or publishing).
• Superior writing and verbal communications skills aimed at persuading; ability to multitask and delegate effectively.
• Understanding of global technology sector trends, especially Asia/Southeast Asia, and how to counsel clients.
• Stays up to date with emerging technologies and how they integrate into campaigns.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Understand clients’ businesses and key stakeholders to inform campaigns and programs.
• Lead research, planning and development of comprehensive Communications Marketing campaigns.
• Manage large projects and teams across multiple sizable accounts.
• Craft internal and client correspondence, communications plans, press materials, and proposals.

• Grow accounts by introducing Edelman capabilities to clients and expanding networks.
• Participate in industry networking to enhance Edelman’s brand and reputation.
• Identify new business opportunities and help lead RFP responses.
• Demonstrate strong presentation skills.
• Mentor and coach team members through Edelman Learning Institute and trainings.

As a Manager in the Technology Sector team at Edelman Singapore, you will play a key role in the team, working with some of the world’s largest and most influential technology brands. You will be a trusted day-to-day advisor to clients, developing a strong understanding of their businesses, communications priorities and the rapidly evolving technology landscape. You will lead the delivery of integrated communications programmes, from strategic planning and media engagement to executive positioning, thought leadership and campaigns, ensuring work is insightful, creative and delivers against our clients’ objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Understands clients’ businesses and their missions, as well as their key stakeholders: consumers, employees, investors, regulators, media, vendors, partners and other businesses/organizations, etc.
• Leads research, planning and development of comprehensive Communications Marketing campaigns
• Ability to manage large projects, as well as teams, on multiple sizable accounts
• Demonstrates writing excellence when crafting internal and client correspondence, communications plans, press materials, new business proposals, etc.
• Tracks and monitors project financials (e.g., budget vs. actual) and meets client revenue targets
• Grows account organically by introducing clients to relevant Edelman capabilities, including resources outside of group, to advance their business goals
• Grows network of industry clients and participates in relevant professional organizations and networking activities that will grow Edelman’s brand recognition and own reputation
• Initiates new business process, including identifying new business opportunities and helping lead the RFP response process
• Displays strong presentation skills
• Mentors, coaches and supports all team members and ensures self staff are developing abilities through Edelman Learning Institute and other trainings, including on-the-job training and mentoring

What is required of you

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing
• Superior writing and verbal communications skills, specifically with the purpose of writing to persuade; demonstrated ability to effectively multitask, delegate and manage assignments and accurately evaluate others’ work
• Understanding of global technology sector trends, with a focus on Asia / South East Asia region and the ability to draw insights from this understanding to counsel clients
• Stays up to date with emerging technologies and trends and demonstrates understanding of how they integrate into Communications Marketing programs
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
