Job description

Manager, Strategic Planning

Job Purpose

This position will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning, and will be responsible for assisting Trains in establishing, managing, and maintaining strategic plans aligned with business objectives and desired outcomes. The role is crucial in ensuring SMRT Trains provides a safe, reliable, and sustainable railway service to support organizational goals. Additionally, the manager will identify strategic needs to enhance service delivery and operational performance, review stakeholder interests, and incorporate these into Trains' plans, policies, and actions.

Responsibilities

  1. Implement work plan processes and communicate Trains’ strategic focus across all divisions.
  2. Guide divisions in developing work plans aligned with strategic priorities.
  3. Coordinate with Corporate Shared Services and Trains Management to develop the Trains Performance Scorecard.
  4. Monitor and report Trains performance to management and the Board.
  5. Prepare and consolidate data and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Degree and/or professional certification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business Management, Engineering).
  • Experience in managing business planning processes in an operational environment is advantageous.

Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operational or management roles.
  • Effective written communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building excellent working relationships.
  • High initiative, dependability, and ability to work independently.
