Caterpillar’s Resource Industries segment caters to customers using machinery in mining, heavy construction, quarry and aggregates. We currently have an opportunity for a Site Performance Manager, based in Singapore. This position collaborates on the day-to-day operation with field support teams and staff to ensure an appropriate level of support and good machine performance to satisfy customer requirements. The role will be the point of contact for dealers and customers to improve the performance of Caterpillar Mining Products at key mine sites.
What You Will Do:
Support, co-develop, implement and manage product support processes and equipment management processes at the mine site.
Manage business risk relating to after-sales and performance support at the site.
Co-manage mine site focus and support Commercial Manager(s) and Product Support Manager(s).
Work in partnership with the Dealer Site Manager to support all Caterpillar businesses at the site.
Accountable for leading site performance improvements and best practices based on data and trends for customers and dealers.
Maintain key site performance metrics including equipment availability, parts availability metrics, operating cost per ton, uptime, etc.
Identify trends and potential issues, draw on the matrix organization through Customer Services and Product Support to partner with the dealer to identify root cause and implement corrective action.
Develop, prioritize and implement strategies to address customer needs as well as ensuring dealer servicing and support practices align with recovery strategy.
What You Have:
Customer Focus & Business Acumen: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Understand mining cost per ton factors.
Acts as a consultant to mining dealers, customers, maintenance managers and executive management in advising on strategic direction for proper equipment selection, product problem management and equipment management activities.
Coordinates Product Problem Resolution at the mine sites.
Effective Communications and Relationship skills: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Strong communication skills to communicate to the right people and parties at the right level when needed.
Ability to develop collaborative work relationships internally and externally.
Problem Solving and Influencing skills: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences at dealer and customer operational level.
Additional Info:
This role requires travelling up to 30% of the time within APAC region.
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
