Job description

The SingHealth Intellectual Property Office is seeking a Manager to focus on the commercialisation of new healthcare-related technologies developed under the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre. You will work with the SingHealth clinical research community to identify and commercialise intellectual property arising from a diverse range of healthcare fields. You will also be involved in the management of a growing portfolio of patent and trademark applications and in promoting the awareness and benefits of healthcare innovation development.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or a relevant scientific/engineering field with at least 8 years of relevant experience. Candidates with a PhD in these fields and / or a Professional Certification in intellectual property or technology transfer will be preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Intellectual Property protection and Intellectual Property rights law. Familiarity with contract and corporate law will be preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and assertively influence key stakeholders, and build and support business relationships and partnerships.
  • Track record of successfully negotiating commercial contracts with industry partners, particularly related to the licensing of technologies and/or new enterprise development.
