Overview

Reporting to the Section Head, Service Operations, youwill work closely with Service Ops teamto lead targeted communications efforts for our flagship service initiative, ‘Incredible Care’. This role is central to fostering a culture of service excellence and reinforcing the importance of ‘Incredible Care’ in a tertiary hospital setting. This role will develop and execute strategies to enhance staff engagement across all levels and job groups, ensure alignment with organisational service goals, and elevate internal and external communication across NUH.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following:

  1. Plan and maintain a calendar of events for Service Ops.
  2. Develop and maintain key messaging on ‘Incredible Care’ initiatives for senior management, and oversee the production of service collaterals to ensure consistency in message across departments within Service Ops
  3. Oversee internal communication channels, such as the hospital intranet, internet, digital displays and other communication materials.
  4. Custodian of Service Ops Corporate Identity.
  5. Custodian of and content development for of service-related write-up on internet and intranet pages
  6. Participate in NUH initiatives such as Project Red Roof (wayfinding)
  7. Craft and highlight success service stories on hospital channels, including submission for internal and external service-related awards to foster a sense of pride and belonging.
  8. Identify success measurement matrix for communication efforts and evaluate the success through staff feedback, surveys, and key performance indicators, refining strategies as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a communications role, preferably within the healthcare sector or a tertiary hospital.
  • Proven ability to lead employee engagement initiatives in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary environment.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a keen understanding of healthcare communication nuances.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for healthcare excellence and employee engagement.
  • Strong collaborator who can build relationships with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
  • Creative and innovative approach to solving communication challenges in a complex organisation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospital setting.
  • Empathy and cultural sensitivity, ensuring inclusive communication across diverse staff groups.
