Job description

Job Title: Industry Engagement Lead

IHPC is seeking a motivated professional to lead industry engagements and collaborations. The role involves developing and executing industry engagement strategies, securing research collaborations and projects, and translating intellectual properties into industry applications.

Responsibilities:

  1. Promote IHPC’s technologies and capabilities, identify new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and build strong relationships with industry partners.
  2. Understand companies’ technology roadmaps and requirements; structure partnership models to drive R&D collaborations that achieve impact and outcomes.
  3. Negotiate and prepare contractual agreements (e.g., non-disclosure agreements, research collaboration agreements) in collaboration with research departments, Legal, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and processes.
  4. Conduct risk analyses to anticipate challenges and resolve problems promptly.
  5. Prepare reports, company briefs, and success stories for meetings and updates to management.
  6. Coordinate and host meetings, organize/support workshops, conferences, and overseas trips.
  7. Plan marketing and publicity activities through events, media releases, case studies, or websites to promote IHPC’s capabilities.

Job Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years of relevant experience in business development, preferably with a background in Business, Engineering, or Science (Master’s or Bachelor’s degree).
  2. Good business acumen, resourcefulness, and team-oriented mindset.
  3. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Meticulous work ethic with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Knowledge of contract law is advantageous.
  6. Over 5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or related fields; a background in science and technology is beneficial.
