As a Talent Development Manager at the Regional Data Centre (RDC) Academy, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing strategies to foster talent development within the data centre (DC) industry, with a focus on integrating AI, green energy, and sustainability. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a passion for advancing professional growth while promoting environmentally conscious practices.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Design and Alignment:
- Collaborate with educational institutions to incorporate AI principles, green energy concepts, and sustainability practices into the curriculum.
- Ensure alignment with industry trends, technological advancements, and sustainable practices.
Program Development & Management:- Develop comprehensive DC training programs that integrate AI, emphasize green energy solutions, and highlight sustainable data centre practices.
- Design initiatives for various career stages in these domains.
- Manage training needs locally and regionally, enrolling employees into suitable modules across learning pathways.
Micro-credential Integration:- Explore and implement Competency-Based Micro-credentials for AI, green energy, and sustainability achievements.
- Create pathways for professionals to earn industry-recognized certifications.
Partnership Management:- Build and manage relationships with educational institutions, industry training providers, and green energy organizations.
- Develop tailored upskilling programs with specialists.
- Establish conversion programs for mid-career professionals transitioning into the data centre industry with a focus on AI, green energy, and sustainability.
- Guide skill acquisition in these areas and set up work-study and internship programs with various Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL).
Performance Evaluation:- Implement mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of talent development initiatives.
- Use data and feedback to refine programs continuously.
Industry Research:- Stay updated on AI trends, emerging technologies, green energy solutions, and sustainable data centre management.
- Use insights to update curricula and programs, emphasizing eco-friendly and innovative practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and IHRP certification.
- Proven experience in talent development, curriculum design, or related roles focusing on AI, green energy, and sustainability.
- Strong understanding of the data centre industry and its evolving skill requirements.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
