Responsibilities

You will manage Sport Singapore’s insurance programme and risks and legal affairs through the provision of effective legal advice and business-oriented legal support & solutions.

In this role, you will:

  1. Manage and drive SportSG’s insurance program including insurance tenders, renewals, and reporting requirements
  2. Assist business units in identifying and mapping key business risks onto insurance risks
  3. Work closely with ERM team and individual risk managers to enable understanding and acceptance of insurance needs and how key risk indicators and risk tolerance levels map onto insurance needs
  4. Provide effective legal advice and strategic business-oriented solutions to achieve organisational and strategic purposes and objectives
  5. Review, draft and negotiate legal documents including MOUs and contracts

Requirements

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active.

In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following:

  1. Recognised law degree and a Qualified Person as defined in the Legal Profession Act
  2. At least 7-8 years’ working experience in general corporate and commercial practice or inhouse, preferably with some experience with or in the public/civil service
  3. Experience or training in insurance law or insurance-related matters
  4. Preferably called to the Singapore Bar
  5. Knowledgeable on issues of corporate governance and data protection

The level of offer will commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance.
