As the Manager/ Senior Manager for Inpatient Operations (Operation Theatre), you will be primarily responsible for leading Operating Theatre (OT) Operations to achieve operational efficiency, service excellence, and optimize the capacity and resources under your charge in OT Ops / Inpatient Ops. You will manage a team of PSAs / Executives for daily OT operations and the associated Centres management. You will also work with clinicians, nursing, and all stakeholders to drive infrastructural related projects to improve/transform our delivery of care in OT settings.
You will champion the voice of our customers for Inpatient Ops and OT Management Unit (OTMU) by extracting, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data and making recommendations to improve OT utilization, patient satisfaction, etc. You will harness technology/IT to drive transformation and achieve faster, better, safer, and cheaper outcomes for Inpatient Ops and OTMU.
In the area of systems and technology, you will lead and facilitate the review of functional deliverables with a deep understanding of current processes, clusters/institutions-specific requirements, and hospital-wide policy context. As the CGH representative, you will work with Deputy CMB (Surgical) and OT Committee to draw up strategies, develop frameworks, execute, operationalize, and communicate current processes, pain points, and cluster/institution requirements to streamline To-Be processes and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and case investigations, review workflow for continuous improvement, and prepare formal recommendations.
- Review and update department work instructions to ensure relevancy.
- Troubleshoot OT system and process issues.
- Liaise with supporting departments on daily OT requirements and successful implementation of new initiatives.
- Analyze the voice of our customers. Investigate staff/patient feedback/complaints and implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Support 360 patient journey mapping towards the review of current processes for continuous improvement (e.g., process redesigning to prepare for CGH Remodelling).
- Provide data analysis for relevant planning and study.
- Lead in the implementation of the hospital’s quality environmental, health, and safety management system and other quality initiatives in the department. This includes constant review and fine-tuning of work processes for improvement.
- Develop manpower plan, training and development plan, career development plan, and performance management plan to achieve the objectives and strategic thrusts in the OT and its Centres.
- Any other projects/assignments as directed by HOD/DyCMB(Surgical)/Directors.
Requirements:
- Good recognized Degree with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience of which three years are in a management position or project management.
- Able to communicate with different levels of personnel.
- Related working experience in the healthcare industry is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Data Analytics.
- Good knowledge of electronic clinical systems (e.g., SCM) is an advantage.
- Fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccinations.
