What the role is:
The Strategy, International & Research (SIR) Directorate oversees and drives MSF’s strategic planning, transformation, international engagement, as well as research and analytics efforts to achieve MSF’s strategic outcomes. As part of the Transformation Division in SIR, you will be involved in strengthening MSF’s innovation ecosystem to encourage Divisions and staff to participate in MSF’s IDEAL (Innovative, Digital, Empathetic, Agile, and Lean) movement. Your projects will include internal communications, capability development, rewards platforms, and staff initiatives that foster an innovative culture within MSF. Reporting to the Assistant Director (Innovation Branch) of the Transformation Division, you will collaborate across divisions to drive MSF’s transformation. If you enjoy challenging yourself, experimenting with new approaches and tools, developing solutions iteratively, and managing ambiguity with agility, this role is suitable for you.
What you will be working on:
• You will be part of the Innovation Branch within the Transformation Division, which promotes MSF’s innovation ecosystem through:
- Raising awareness and building innovation capabilities
- Recognising and rewarding behaviours that support MSF’s transformation
- Aligning transformation efforts via meeting platforms
- Ensuring resources are accessible to support transformation
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in planning and executing projects for the Innovation Branch
- Design and implement strategies to cultivate an innovative culture within MSF
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions to align transformation initiatives
- Develop internal communication strategies to foster innovation
- Manage innovation rewards and recognition programmes
- Collaborate externally to build capabilities like Design Thinking and Behavioural Insights
- Create partnerships internally and externally to influence transformation efforts
What we are looking for:
- At least 5 years of experience in transformation, change management, or culture-building
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement
- Daring to challenge the status quo and think creatively
- Interest in problem-solving and leveraging team intelligence
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Strong project management skills
- Facilitation skills or strategic experience are advantageous
- An innovative mindset that encourages solutions and supports others
- Commitment to continuous learning and skill development
- Perseverance in driving innovation to implementation
- Excellent creativity, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
