Job description

The DSTA Academy provides systems engineering and project management training to DSTA staff via in-house courses, and works with technical and subject matter experts to curate a relevant and up-to-date collection of information resources to support staff learning. We are looking for a motivated individual to leverage IT and AI systems to increase the value of information resources to DSTA.

Responsibilities

  • Engage internal stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements for information resource systems and services.
  • Manage and prioritize change requests, develop test cases, and lead system testing activities (e.g. User Acceptance Testing) to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Oversee partners to deliver, and maintain system and process documentation for audit, compliance, and knowledge management purposes.
  • Ensure systems comply with IT governance, data management policies, and library operating procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve operational issues (e.g. broken links), while creating clear and accessible support materials.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems, working closely with partners.
  • Leverage data analytics to drive decision-making and operational efficiency for example, to analyse usage patterns and conduct user interviews to derive actionable insights to improve awareness and engagement with information resources.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate change management strategies to drive adoption and impact of DSTA Academys initiatives.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to adopt AI solutions to enhance efficiency, personalization, and user experience, and work with partners to implement and manage these initiatives.
  • Collaborate with partners to address licensing, data privacy, and ethical considerations related to AI-enabled systems.
  • Identify staffs development needs, co-develop training plans, and mentor and coach team members.
  • Perform additional professional functions as assigned, such as curating or acquiring information resources and managing associated metadata.

Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline with at least 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Leadership abilities, with experience in a supervisory role.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and meticulous with excellent organisation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written communication, presentation and reporting skills.

Candidates with fewer years of relevant work experience may be considered for Manager position.
