Job description

Serves as a key advisor to the Group Leadership team, spearheading organizational and people development initiatives aligned with Group business strategies. This role involves crafting and implementing HR strategies to support operations and critical functions globally, as well as delivering talent management and development programs. As a core member of the HR team, the role will enhance performance by fostering a high-performance culture with clear expectations and leading efforts in cultural transformation. This includes managing significant change initiatives to set the company apart from competitors.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as strategic advisor to Group Leadership team at full spectrum of Human Resource perspectives to support organizational growth. Proactively engage with leaders on people strategy through workforce planning, organization design and structure.

  • Develop and drive employee engagement and retention initiatives to build a positive and high performing work culture.

  • Lead the HR business partner team, providing coaching and guidance to ensure they deliver a high standard of service to the business.

  • Work closely with the broader HR team to drive continuous process improvement and HR projects to achieve operational effectiveness

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

  • Support and work with business teams to understand current and future goals and trends that may impact workforce needs and initiatives.

  • Translate business objectives into HR programs to support organizational development.

  • Design and implement key HR policies and processes; ensure smooth running of HR processes and tools in line with global business processes.

  • Support the development of budgets and business plans.

  • Actively initiate/Develop/Lead the development of Corporate HR programs and ensure its implementation.

  • Partner with Group Leadership to drive talent management initiatives, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development. Provide thought leadership on HR trends and best practices.

  • Manage and resolve employee relations/disputes issues on group perspective, partnering with legal counsel as needed.

  • Drive effective rewards and recognition strategies to ensure competitive in market.

  • Other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification

Requirements:

  • Degree/Master in Human Resource or Business administration. Professional certification/membership in HR would be added advantages.

  • At least 12 years of extensive experience in full spectrum of Human Resources function, with strong preference from fast-paced, matrixed and dynamic environment.

  • Proficient bilingual written and verbal communication skills as one needs to manage our English and Chinese-speaking clients and stakeholders.

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. High level of influencing skills with energetic, assertive, pro-active, and solution-oriented personality.

  • High integrity with good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated track record in managing cross-cultural stakeholders, able to deal with both ambiguity and complexity.

  • Passionate about people, has a high level of emotional intelligence and have a growth-oriented mindset.

  • Strong business acumen and results-oriented.

  • Familiar with local/region’s labour legislations.

  • PC literate and able to use Microsoft Office software packages.

  • Resourceful and energetic, with an eye for details on strategic matters.

  • Able to work independently as well as being a team-player with strong commitment to department/company harmony.

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet the demands of the job.
