Key Skill Areas & Competencies

1. Applied Research Design & Methodology

  • Expertise in selecting and tailoring research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative) to align with strategic goals and user experience needs.
  • Ability to frame research problems clearly and translate them into robust research designs.
  • Skilled in developing research instruments such as surveys, questionnaires, and discussion guides.

2. Data Collection & Fieldwork Management

  • Proficient in leading primary research methods including online surveys, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions.
  • Strong project management skills to coordinate fieldwork logistics and ensure data integrity.
  • Experience managing multiple research projects independently with minimal supervision.

3. Data Analysis & Insight Synthesis

  • Analytical acumen to synthesise and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data filtering, cross-tabulation and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to uncover actionable insights and patterns that inform business decisions and improve user journeys.

4. Insight Translation & Communication

  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills to deliver complex insights in clear, actionable ways.
  • Skilled in developing visually compelling presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable presenting to diverse stakeholders, including senior management and non-technical audiences.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration & Influence

  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across marketing, service design, and operations teams.
  • Ability to embed user-centric thinking into strategic initiatives and decision-making processes.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, initiative, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–5+ years of relevant experience in user research or consumer insights, ideally in an applied, end-to-end research role
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple research projects
  • Well-versed with market research methods, both qualitative and quantitative
