Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Pursue interesting sales leads, design proposals, and negotiate business deals as part of product business development.
  • Contribute effectively towards enhancing PSA’s revenue and volume growth.
  • Learn business fundamentals relating to trade flows, data-driven decision making, financial principles, legal aspects of securing deals, and operationalizing commercial agreements.

Product Business Development and Customer Management:

  • Establish and maintain networks with cargo owners, logistics providers, and government agencies.
  • Initiate sales opportunities and pursue leads.
  • Design pricing strategies for Singapore-centric or regional products across SEA borders.
  • Negotiate proposals with customers.
  • Identify opportunities for integrating physical solutions with digital initiatives.
  • Gather market intelligence on trade, competitors, and market updates.
  • Organize events for customer relationship management.

Operationalizing the Commercial Partnerships with Customers:

  • Collaborate with PSA teams to implement marketed initiatives.
  • Conduct process mapping to identify supply chain pain points.
  • Redesign or create new processes to resolve issues.
  • Work with legal teams to draft and finalize contracts.
  • Coordinate with Finance to implement commercial terms.
  • Serve as liaison between customers and internal departments for daily requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings and presentations.
  • Create and deliver presentations on company products.
  • Maintain and update sales activity records.
  • Identify and communicate customer pain points.
  • Develop a robust pipeline of prospects.
  • Build and sustain relationships with prospects and customers.

  • Coordinate efforts with team members and other departments.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience with a proven record of meeting/exceeding quotas in Life Science & Healthcare, Industrial & Technology, Retail & Consumer, Chemical sectors.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Critical thinking and writing skills.
  • Basic data intelligence skills and curiosity preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese preferred (spoken and written).
  • Adaptability and resilience to dynamic customer demands and work scope.
