  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • ACII or similar professional qualification in General Insurance
  • Minimum of 10 years' claims experience in general insurance
  • Resourceful, self-driven, and capable of performing effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills, initiative, good communication, and team management abilities
  • Analytical skills for handling claims
  • Good problem-solving skills and proactive issue resolution
Job Descriptions

Claims Management

  • Manage commercial claims including WICA, Engineering, Property, Public Liability, and Professional Indemnity, ensuring accurate and prompt processing within stipulated turnaround times
  • Handle key claims inquiries: coverage determination, quantum analysis, legal liability assessment, within authority limits, ensuring high customer service standards
  • Negotiate and resolve claims cost-effectively within authorized limits
  • Interpret insurance contracts and apply to exposures presented
  • Manage vendor relationships and controls effectively
  • Oversee litigation management for high-value, complex claims in consultation with the department head
  • Continuously improve claim handling processes based on feedback and reviews
  • Contribute to maintaining best practices for complex claims, aligned with global standards
  • Ensure timely and accurate updating of case reserves and conduct regular file reviews
  • Demonstrate competence in handling complex claims

Processes and Strategies

  • Regularly review claims policies and processes to prevent fraud and leakage, improving efficiency and competitiveness
  • Propose strategies to contain claim costs
  • Streamline operational processes to enhance productivity
  • Manage claims independently and participate in departmental projects
