Job description

What the role is:

The Senior Manager / Manager, Assurance & Risk, provides independent oversight on the governance and control activities of the business units and proposes improvements in such activities to ensure compliance with corporate service policies and regulations. This is an individual contributor position without supervisory responsibilities.

What you will be working on:

• Implementing VITAL’s Compliance and Risk Management Framework
• Collaborating with business units to implement enterprise risk management strategies
• Leading or participating in compliance reviews to ensure adherence to operational procedures, policies, and regulations
• Conducting independent compliance risk reviews and testing of processes, systems, and controls
• Analyzing compliance and risk issues and recommending improvements
• Performing IT system access rights reviews
• Assisting in investigations of specific concerns, including initial fraud investigations
• Reporting findings to management
• Participating in process improvement projects
• Providing guidance on governance, risk management, audit, and compliance matters

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in compliance, risk, and audit management in a corporate or audit environment
• Data analytics experience and knowledge of public sector practices are advantageous
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach
• Good interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement
