The role of the Safety Manager is to develop, implement, and oversee safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Responsibilities include hazard identification, risk assessment, strategy development, safety training, and compliance enforcement.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist and conduct safety audits to ensure staff compliance with SOPs.
• Conduct new staff orientation and annual refresher safety training.
• Develop and maintain safety programs in line with regulations.
• Identify hazards through inspections and incident analysis.
• Conduct safety training sessions and promote safety awareness.
• Investigate accidents and prepare reports with findings and recommendations.
• Manage workplace incidents and return-to-work programs.
• Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.
• Communicate safety information across the organization.
• Lead internal audits for Biz Safe Level 3 annually.
• Review and update Risk Assessments in the Biz Safe Program.
• Submit monthly safety minutes to supervisors.
• Ensure Transport Management Plans are implemented and audited.

To be successful, you will have:

• At least 5 years of experience in Safety & Health, registered with the Ministry of Manpower and SCDF as applicable.
• A Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills, independence, and effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Solid understanding and implementation of safety procedures.
