Job Description

The Food & Beverage Manager leads the department to ensure efficient operations and achievement of business goals. Responsibilities include:

  1. Attending meetings and communicating effectively with staff to meet guest and employee needs.
  2. Ensuring guest satisfaction by meeting food and beverage service standards and responding to guest needs promptly.
  3. Resolving guest complaints courteously, focusing on service recovery.
  4. Training and modeling guest service standards alongside staff.
  5. Interviewing, developing, and evaluating staff performance, providing coaching and feedback.
  6. Motivating the team through goal-setting, recognition, and rewards.
  7. Delivering discipline and corrective actions when necessary.
  8. Maintaining training records and analyzing quality issues to identify training needs.
  9. Utilizing resources and adhering to training policies to meet all training requirements.
  10. Achieving revenue goals by developing and implementing service programs.
  11. Building and maintaining client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  12. Implementing operational changes based on sales and guest feedback.
  13. Managing expenses and labor to maximize profitability and efficiency.
  14. Following procurement guidelines and managing assets within budget.
  15. Conducting inspections to ensure quality standards and compliance with regulations.
  16. Maintaining a clean, safe work environment and following incident procedures.
  17. Managing workload effectively and demonstrating strong communication skills.
  18. Promoting a collaborative and professional work environment.
  19. Attending departmental and hotel meetings for effective communication and planning.
