Job summary

Vishay is seeking a full-time Manager, Purchasing to lead procurement for production at one or more Singapore locations. You will plan, source, and secure parts and services while building strong supplier relationships and ensuring on-time delivery.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or related field required.
• 5–8 years of direct procurement experience; hands-on sourcing and supplier negotiation.
• Experience with OSATs, assembly, and BE manufacturing processes preferred; regional exposure valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
• Monitor stock levels and plan quantities based on production/delivery plans.
• Negotiate contracts and terms for delivery of parts, materials or services.
• Ensure timely procurement and order management for on-time delivery.
• Lead local procurement unit to cover full scope of parts, materials, and services.
• Contribute to budgets and superior plans; support continuous process improvements.
• Lead local negotiations on deliveries and manage supplier contracts within the value chain.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Help us build the DNA of tech. Vishay is seeking a full-time Manager,Purchasing to lead and drive operational excellence, planning and executing thetimely procurement for material, parts and services needed to fulfill the production plan at one or more assigned location.

Primary Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining working relations with suppliers assigned.
• Monitoring stockand inventories of local warehouses, and planning quantities of parts and materials needed, with respect to production and delivery plans.
• Negotiating contracts and specific conditions for delivery of parts, materials or services.
• Ensuring timely procurement and order management to ensure parts and materialsare appropriately delivered
• Ensuring supplier performance reporting, announcing and clarifying claims, if necessary
• Leads mid-volumelocal procurement unit to buy assigned full scope of parts, materials and services for the plant(s) or site(s) assigned
• Contributes to thesuperior plans and related budgets.
• Manage and continuously improve assigned procurement processes, to ensure work is as efficient as possible.
• Leads local negotiations on deliveries, within given limits; act as escalation point of contact for local claim management.
• Manages locallyrelevant supplier contracts within the value chain.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field
• 5-8 years of experience in Direct Procurement, hands-on experience executing sourcing activities and supplier negotiation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with OSATs, Assembly, Test and BE manufacturing processes is preferred, with at least 8 years in a regional role
• Experience with contract management and contract process ownership.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and drive initiatives across multiple locations
• Knowledge of SAP MM is preferred.
