Job description

What the role is:

To initiate and assist in the formation and development of programmes in collaboration with both community and corporate partners along the CDC’s 3 strategic thrusts of:
  • Strengthening the social infrastructure,
  • Nurturing volunteerism,
  • Promoting active citizenry,
to nurture a vibrant and self-reliant community.

What you will be working on:

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Planning, formulating, and growing CDC Committees, including staffing District Councillors to conceptualize, plan, and implement community projects.
  • Developing and executing district-level CDC projects and cross-segment programmes among CDC’s community partners such as Grassroots Organisations, Social Service Organisations (SSORGs), schools, government bodies, and non-government organisations.
  • Networking, coordinating, and developing joint CDC programmes or partnerships with community and corporate partners, schools, and government agencies to achieve set targets.
  • Conducting research, needs assessments, and gathering data to enhance community project effectiveness.
  • Strategizing and maintaining sustainable relationships with internal colleagues and external partners through SE CDC community projects.
  • Coordinating and submitting progress reports, providing feedback, and facilitating communication between the Council, committees, and management.
  • Ensuring work plans and project updates are communicated regularly through meetings.
  • Collaborating with the corporate department to ensure projects are promoted via media and publicity channels.
  • Providing administrative and logistical support for projects organized by PA Headquarters.
  • Accurately recording minutes of meetings and ensuring compliance with governance policies.
