About The Role

As Manager, Procurement in ALPS, you will be based at ALPS HQ -Connection One @ Bukit Merah, assist the stakeholders and work closely with hospital users and ALPS vendors to support in the hospital's daily operations for patient's care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sourcing strategy in sourcing of Medical Technology and supplier initiatives and be accountable for the outcomes.
  • Develop and manage vendor relationship in terms of optimising overall performance (cost, quality and delivery) of services providers against service level agreements or contractual KPIs (key performance Indicators) for supplies, services and technology spend.
  • Horizon scanning of the industry landscape. Drive benchmarking and competitive analysis of key Medical Technologies
  • Ensure active engagement of clinical and nursing champions to develop sourcing strategy for their area of spend with the Procurement Executives of the team with the provision of product information and samples, specific and technical requirements, current market landscape, price analysis and implementation of plans and awards of contracts.
  • Execute Request for Proposal (RFP) process through a strategic sourcing approach to reduce total cost of ownership. Lead in supplier negotiation and selection
  • Co-ordinate and convene meetings with clinical and nursing champions together with institutional procurement executives, biomedical engineers, radiographers, project managers and service managers for each evaluation of product and / or services to ensure the most cost effective acquisition
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the procurement team
  • Drive alignment between users, and vendors, analyse the situation, arbitrate and provide solutions to the problem(s).
  • Ensure compliance to policies and procedures in accordance to ALPS Procurement Manual.
  • Advocate continuous improvement on all aspects of the sourcing and procurement process to enhance services and ensure uninterrupted supply of products and services.
  • Act as a change agent and demonstrate resiliency in the change process. Lead development of key strategies for the future business needs, encompassing the internal resources, suppliers, and our partners.

Requirements
  • Min. Degree with 5-8 years of relevant procurement and team management experience
  • Experience in process improvement, policy drafting and drive cost saving projects
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in SAP MM/Ariba will be an added advantages
