Summary
As Manager of Operational Performance & Optimization, you will lead the team to drive and sustain performance improvements in line with Company objectives through proactive identification of areas for improvement, implementation of appropriate solutions and monitoring of effectiveness. You will work closely with various departments across the organization including Flight Ops, Engineering, Inflight Services, Ground Ops, Cabin Services and other key stakeholders. This role also involves collaborating with vendors and external parties where necessary. The successful candidate must possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking ability, and have experience managing diverse teams within a complex aviation environment.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements by analyzing data on operational performance and conducting regular reviews with relevant departments;
- Develop and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing costs;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes or technologies into existing systems;
- Manage vendor relationships related to operational performance and optimization projects;
- Lead training programs designed to upskill staff members in optimizing operations and implementing best practices;
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes impacting operational performance and adjust strategies accordingly;
- Conduct audits periodically to assess adherence to established standards and identify areas for enhancement;
- Coordinate special projects as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field;
- At least 5 years of experience in airline operations or a similar industry;
- Strong knowledge of aircraft safety procedures and regulations;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Experience managing people and projects;
- Ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure;
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and Google Suite tools;
- Demonstrated problem solving ability using analytical tools such as Six Sigma/Lean methodology;
- Understanding of workforce analytics and crew resource management principles;
- Knowledge of union management and group problem solving techniques;
- Familiarity with flight data analysis and fatigue risk management;
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
