Manager (Operations Capability)

What The Role Is

You develop and enhance operational capability in the domain of service delivery for MINDEF/SAF. Your role involves key responsibilities in operational planning, system management, parliamentary duties, and event organisation.

What You Will Be Working On

1. Develop the structure, concept of operations (CONOPS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure undisrupted MINDEF/SAF service operations.
2. Draw up plans for refresh, and ensure the availability and relevance of the MINDEF/SAF Intranet systems and processes.
3. Coordinate parliamentary duties and responses for Parliamentary Questions (PQ), Committee of Supply (COS) Debate and other Parliamentary sessions and processes for MINDEF/SAF.
4. Plan and organise National Day Observance Ceremonies at MINDEF Building.
5. Take ownership of assigned areas of work and assist with other tasks/projects as needed for the overall success of the department.

Challenge(s)

1. Managing diverse responsibilities from operational planning to event organisation.

What We Are Looking For

1. Education in Business or Information Technology (IT) is preferred.
2. At least 3 years of working experience in organisation planning and development, Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and/or resource planning and management, Business process engineering, corporate IT or web management.
3. Experience in managing operations-type work is advantageous.
4. Strong inclination for operations work.
5. Good command and control of operations.
6. Strong networking skills.
7. Comfortable with regular interactions with MINDEF senior leadership.
