Job Description

Work with the Senior Manager (Industry) to support the Vice Dean and Assistant Deans in Office of Research and Technology (ORT) to expand and grow CDE’s partnerships and engagements with industry.

Industry Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the main liaison between industry partners and CDE PIs to develop and foster strong, sustainable relationships.
  • Facilitate and manage strategic collaborations with industry to support research, innovation, and talent development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with CDE PIs and industry partners to design/develop programmes such as industrial research projects, internships, and joint training initiatives.
Programme & Event Development
  • Conceptualise, plan, and organise joint workshops, seminars, networking sessions, and other events with industry to promote knowledge exchange and showcase CDE’s capabilities to industry collaborators.
  • Coordinate and support CDE’s participation in external industry meetings, events, and forums to strengthen visibility and promote collaboration opportunities.
Partnership Support & Administration
  • Maintain regular engagement with key partners to understand industry needs and identify new areas for joint activities.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between CDE researchers and industry stakeholders to align interests and deliver impactful outcomes.
  • Support the negotiation of partnership agreements, project scopes, and proposals to ensure mutually beneficial collaborations.
Performance Tracking & Strategic Reporting
  • Monitor, track, and evaluate engagement outcomes, providing data‑driven insights and reports to CDE Management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of CDE’s overall industry engagement strategy.
Qualifications

  • Proven ability to build and sustain strong partnerships with industry, government, and academic stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
