Job description

    You are an integral part of Cordis, a global provider of interventional cardiovascular technologies, where you will play a crucial role as the Manager of Accounting, OUS. Reporting to the Senior Director, OUS, you will collaborate closely with the OUS team, corporate finance, accounting team, and various other departments. Your responsibilities include overseeing daily accounting activities, ensuring adherence to US GAAP and statutory financial standards, and providing guidance on technical accounting matters.Your key responsibilities will involve managing the corporate accounting team, overseeing the monthly financial close process, and ensuring accurate recording of costs. You will analyze financial transactions, prepare financial statements, and present reports to stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and providing support for audits.As the Manager of Accounting, OUS, you will work on enhancing accounting procedures, preparing variance account reviews, and assisting in budgeting processes. You will collaborate with business leaders to monitor monthly results and variances, as well as contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and audited financial statements. Your role will also involve identifying opportunities for process automation and improved financial reporting.Furthermore, you will manage relationships with third-party providers for statutory financials and local bookkeeping. This includes overseeing the statutory reporting calendar, providing necessary information, reviewing reconciliations, managing audits, and implementing internal controls. You will also supervise accounting team members under your purview.To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (MBA is a plus) and have at least 5 years of accounting experience. Previous supervisory experience, sharp business acumen, and excellent communication skills are essential. Proficiency in major ERP systems and advanced Excel is preferred, along with a thorough understanding of US GAAP.
