Job description

You will be responsible for the management of overall educational, operational or services programmes or multiple components of overall programmes or services. You will support the Director of Medical Education in providing strategic direction, planning, budgeting and leading the team for smooth operations in the office. You will also be involved in financial management associated with funding and grants, educational contracts, business planning and departmental policy and service development.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the development and implementation of department and programme budgets, manpower, training and career development

  • Manage and administer various education funding & grants for post-graduate education

  • Develop, analyse and monitor cost-effectiveness of programmes and initiatives

  • Lead, manage and drive new medical education-related initiatives or projects, including gathering, analysing, and evaluation of information for preparation of papers and presentations to support planning and decision making

  • Create, update and maintain standard operating procedure to ensure clarity of task and also business continuity

  • Ensure all audits and accreditation are compliant to policies, guidelines and SOP

  • Engage stakeholders to facilitate new and on-going initiatives / projects

  • Coordinate and work with relevant internal / external parties for education-related MOUs and agreements

  • Any other duties assigned from time to time

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or any relevant discipline

  • Minimum 5 years of Medical Education experience in a leadership role

  • Possess quality improvement mind-set and able to work on simultaneous projects

  • Strong team leadership and communication skills, with experience of managing people, conflict and negotiating change

  • Independent, organised and meticulous with proactive working style

  • This role may require you to work beyond regular office hours (e.g. weekends or after office hours) and occasionally travel overseas, depending on operational needs
