Job summary

Seatrium (SG) Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced engineering professional to assist the Vice President (Engineering) in managing the Engineering Department in Singapore.

You will oversee engineering and technical support processes and implement QMS procedures to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. You will monitor activities to meet production schedules, participate in contract reviews, and drive corrective actions for errors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field required.
• Minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally in marine, offshore or renewable energy.
• Diplomas/certs as listed for naval architecture/marine/offshore mechanical/electrical eng and Motor Ship class 1.
• Strong analytical skills with data interpretation ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Vice President (Engineering) in the management of the Engineering Department.
• Manage engineering and technical support processes, by implementing the engineering related procedures and work instructions in the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Monitor engineering activities to ensure efficient engineering design production as well as meeting engineering progress schedules.
• Perform relevant elements of contract review, as required, including preparation and review of engineering responsibility matrix.
• Respond to customer complaints and take corrective actions on errors of staff and subcontractors to requirements defined in the Corrective Action Procedure of the QMS.
• Ensure that all standard operating procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to him

Working Hours:

Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5.15pm
