About the job Manager, Legal & Compliance

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and propose risk mitigation alternatives on the Company's various types of contracts, such as non-disclosure agreements, tenders, and professional service agreements.
  • Act as the Management Representative for the Company's ISO 9001 certification.
  • Ensure processes and documentations comply with MAS Payment Services Act Regulations.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate terms and conditions of various contracts with external parties and partners.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external counsel regarding legal advice and management of legal costs.
  • Participate in negotiations with relevant counterparties and external legal counsels.
  • Review Company activities and conduct regular compliance reviews.
  • Ensure relevant policies and SOPs related to the Company's Major Payment Institution Licence are up-to-date and complied with.
  • Maintain Board of Directors profile, coordinate Board and sub-committees meeting schedules, and record Board meeting minutes.
  • Participate in mitigation processes in line with the overall standard operating procedures of the organization.
  • Assist internal stakeholders with information regarding department processes, procedures, and contract development, including the development and presentation of training materials.
  • Support the Company's Personal Data Protection Management Programme in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act, including maintaining the Company's Data Protection Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other compliance work as assigned by the Head of Finance & Compliance and CEO.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law or Business Management, or related discipline. Professional Certificate in Legal Studies or relevant field (for those without a Law Degree).
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in compliance, legal contract management, and administration.
  • Experience managing Contracts, PDPA, and Regulatory Compliance is mandatory for success in this role.
  • Knowledge of the Payment Services Act is an added advantage.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills are essential for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • An analytical mindset with excellent organizational skills.
