The Opportunity

Our client is looking for a Manager (Knowledge Publications) to produce thier proprietary knowledge products.

About our client

Our client is a non-profit organisation, headquartered in Singapore. Thier mission is to improve public sector capabilities and governance around the world. They believe that when governments are effective and responsive, they will earn the trust of citizens and businesses, which in turn encourages investment and work, and supports national development and prosperity.

They partners with governments in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East to build public sector capability and leadership through training programmes, government projects, and practical knowledge creation and sharing.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will manage the production of our client's knowledge products, especially thier major publications. Key responsibilities include:

  • Generating ideas for features and stories for thier publications. This could involve desktop research and review of data to understand the underlying trends.
  • Commissioning the production of features and stories.
  • Coordination with different writers, contributors and designers, to ensure that publications are produced in a timely manner.
  • Managing the distribution of publications, and coordinate publicity through social media channels.
  • Writing and editing articles, features and stories.
  • Support the interviews with contributors of features and stories, e.g. by scheduling interviews, compiling and sending questions ahead of time

The candidate will report to Director (Knowledge).

Experience and Qualifications

  • Around 6 years of experience in journalism that involved coordinating the development of publications, as well as writing and editing.
  • Some experience working in government, or working closely with government, would be a major advantage.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Journalism or its equivalent.
