A leading food and beverage company is seeking an Area Manager to oversee operations in their Japanese restaurant. This role involves managing standards, ensuring compliance, and enhancing performance across the outlet. Ideal candidates should have experience in similar roles, be fluent in Japanese, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Job Description
- Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures
- Check Workstations for operations
- Ensure food is served in accordance with SOPs
- Manage quality control at both outlet and execute crisis management plans
- Manage productivity performance
- Responsible for inventories and stock-taking activities
- Facilitate and maintain compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements
- Cover duties (both service and kitchen) when required
- Manage site/outlet and equipment maintenance
- Maintain Standards and Standard Operating Procedures for store operations
- Solve problems and make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions
- Generate reports and present store performance
- Responsible for income and expenses
- Follow F&B safety and hygiene policies and procedures
- Conduct outlet audit to upkeep standards and conduct staff performance assessment process
- Manage training at the store level
- Handle disputes, grievances, and disciplinary matters at the store level
- Administer purchasing and receiving procedures
Requirements:
- Preferably with more than 3 years of experience asarea manager or store manager in Japanese restaurant.
- Looking for Japanese and English speaking candidates to who are required to speak with Japanese-speaking clients and management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, able to liaise with all employees
- Positive attitude, dedicated, committed, and keen to learn
- Highly self-motivated and a self-starter
- Able to do shift work including weekends and public holidays
