Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore (MINDEF) is seeking a capable IT governance professional to join the Policy & Compliance team, strengthening cybersecurity and IT governance across MINDEF/SAF by designing and automating GRC processes using enterprise platforms.

You will work on roadmaps, platform enhancements, and stakeholder engagements, applying industry GRC standards to a large enterprise. The role emphasizes analysis, communication, and automation to improve IT operations and compliance.

Qualifications

• Education in IT, CS, CE, or related field.
• Experience in IT governance, GRC, operations or platform management is advantageous.
• Relevant certifications are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passion for process improvement and automation; appointment will be commensurate with experience.

What The Role Is

You will be part of the Policy & Compliance team, strengthening cybersecurity and IT governance across MINDEF/SAF by designing and automating Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) processes using enterprise platforms.

What You Will Be Working On

• Define and maintain roadmaps to improve GRC processes
• Identify suitable enhancements to enterprise platforms
• Ensure alignment with compliance and IT governance objectives
• Drive engagements with IT teams to gather requirements and communicate changes made to processes and automation
• Support the ServiceNow Platform Owner in platform governance, service enhancements, and stakeholder engagement Challenge(s)
• Adopting industry GRC standards for Policy Lifecycle and Control Monitoring frameworks is a new endeavour within a large and complex ecosystem, requiring the ability to innovate and adapt whilst working within organisational constraints
• Exploring and proposing suitable automation tools and technology solutions to improve GRC processes, balancing the need for efficiency with the realities of a large-scale enterprise environment

What We Are Looking For

• Education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Relevant work experience in IT governance, GRC, IT operations, or platform management is advantageous
• Relevant professional certifications will be advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
