Job summary

Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager (International Relations) to develop and implement international relations policies and strategies for Singapore's civil aviation interests.

You will analyze global aviation developments, drive regional engagement, and support CAAS in international fora and events, including high-level visits and international meetings. A 3-year contract is offered with potential for long-term tenure.

Responsibilities

• Provide policy recommendations by developing IR policies and strategies.
• Analyse aviation developments/policies globally that could impact Singapore.
• Drive engagement strategies for assigned region.
• Develop position papers on civil aviation issues with international implications.
• Support CAAS on ICAO Working Papers and participate in ICAO Council, Committees and Working Groups.
• Build and maintain relationships with local and international partners/stakeholders.
• Plan and organise events including high-level visits, conferences and international meetings.
• Prepare speeches, briefs, talking points, travel arrangements, and on-site engagements for CAAS principals.

What the role is

The role of the Manager / Senior Manager (International Relations) is to support the development and implementation of international relations policies and strategies to engage countries and international organisations, advancing Singapore’s civil aviation interests.

What you will be working on

Providing policy recommendations

• Contribute to the development of IR policies and strategies to adopt, taking into consideration the interests of various Divisions and Ministries
• Analyse aviation developments / policies around the world that could impact Singapore
• Drive engagement strategies of his/her assigned region

Contributing to international civil aviation

• Drive the development of position papers on civil aviation issues with international implications, in consultation with other Divisions
• Support our Permanent Mission in ICAO and CAAS Divisions on positions to be taken on ICAO Working Papers, as well as involvement and contributions in ICAO Council, Committees and Working Groups

Relationship building with key stakeholders

• Build and maintain relationships of local and international key partners and stakeholders
• Plan and execute activities to profile Singapore’s standing in international civil aviation
• Plan and organise events of various scales, including high-level visits by international guests, official trips of CAAS principals, conferences, international meetings and other events

Prepare and coordinate for events attended by CAAS principals, including writing speeches, preparing briefs and talking points, making travel arrangements, and executing on-site engagements

Note: Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
