Job summary

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore seeks a strategic team member to help drive the Singapore air hub through sound economic regulation and insightful market analysis.

You will support market research, trend sense-making, engagement strategies, and negotiations with airlines and foreign counterparts to advance Singapore’s air hub interests.

Qualifications

• Keen interest in air transport sector with willingness to learn more about international air services agreements and airline economics.
• Ability to diagnose problems and implement solutions within a regulatory/economic promotion framework.
• Academic training in Law, Economics and International Relations will be useful to succeed.

What the role is:

As a team member in the Strategy and Network Development Division, you will drive the development of the Singapore air hub through sound economic regulation and insightful market analysis and promotion.

What you will be working on:

You will help advance Singapore’s air hub interests on your assigned country markets through market research, sense‑making trends, developing engagement and negotiating strategies, and engaging airline and foreign counterparts.

What we are looking for:

• To succeed in this role, you should have a keen interest in the air transport sector with a willingness to learn more about international air services agreements and airline economics.

• You should also be able to demonstrate good systems‑thinking and the ability to diagnose problems and implement solutions within the context of a regulatory and economic promotion framework.

• Prior experience in the aviation industry, or in a government regulatory role is good to have, but not necessary. Academic training in Law, Economics and International Relations will be useful to help the applicant succeed.

Note: Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
