Key Responsibilities

The Fire Safety and Security Manager will be a key member of the Food Solutions HSSE team, serving as the Fire Safety Lead for Food Solutions. The incumbent will be appointed as the Fire Safety Manager for the Catering Centre and will work closely with Fire Safety Managers across the business units to implement and sustain an effective Fire Safety Programme. Additionally, the role will support security operations, contributing to the Food Solutions Security Management System.

  • Fulfill duties of Fire Safety Manager and Security Manager for the appointed premise; work with building/site management to advise and implement fire safety standards.
  • Lead and drive the Fire Safety Programme across all Food Solutions SG sites, ensuring alignment and reliability.
  • Conduct regular Fire Risk Assessments and recommend improvements for all premises in cooperation with site FSMs.
  • Provide security support for local aviation and physical security operations in Inflight Catering, working with security providers.
  • Guide Business Units on security procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage meetings to present performance metrics and updates to stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation and review of SATS Incident Management, Inspection, and Assurance Programmes.
  • Conduct internal HSSE audits and assist with external audits.
  • Assist in investigations, ensuring thorough reporting.
  • Maintain relationships with government, industry, and security professionals for information sharing.
  • Support HSSE initiatives and promote a safe work environment.
  • Manage safety data and HSSE systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma in Facilities Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Building, or equivalent.
  • FSM Certificate registered with SCDF with at least 3 years of experience as an FSM in manufacturing facilities; experience in food processing plants is advantageous.
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in corporate security management; aviation sector experience is advantageous.
  • Meticulous with data and statistics.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with minimal supervision.
  • Open-minded and objective in addressing issues and solutions.
  • Good at prioritizing and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in incident investigation and familiarity with online systems and Microsoft programs.
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
