Job Duties
- Oversees, directs, and manages programs to maintain medical equipment, electronics systems, and telephony systems.
- Plans and implements high-quality and cost-effective equipment management and maintenance programs to support the Hospital’s clinical services.
- Provides technical expertise for planning and evaluating new medical equipment technologies and systems.
- Responsible for operations and maintenance across departments, including failure analysis, incident investigation, and acting as a resource for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Handles system management tasks such as contracts, licensing, insurances, claims, physical assets, repairs, maintenance, and end-of-life management. Represents the company in liaising with authorities and external parties.
- Plans, directs, and manages cost control, risk mitigation, including IT cybersecurity risks and compliance measures.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives and special projects to enhance service quality and reduce costs.
- Prepares and manages budgets, oversees invoice processing, negotiates service level agreements, and supports hospital operations financially.
- Recruits, manages, and develops staff through training, coaching, and performance management to maintain high technical and organizational standards.
- Motivates staff and oversees their career development and professional growth.
- Ensures compliance with hospital quality management systems.
- Represents the company in hospital or cluster committees such as Technology Assessment and Cyber Defence.
- Manages vendor relationships efficiently and professionally.
- Oversees design and work requirements for new systems, capital projects, expense projects, and grant-funded initiatives.
- Assists the Director in ongoing hospital operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- 10 to 20 years of experience in operations and maintenance of large healthcare facilities of similar capacity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and influencing skills
- Minimum 5 years of management experience
