About the job

This role shall report to the Senior Manager and hold ownership embedding of the quality assurance framework and product quality standards for innovation projects, product changes and new product introductions associated with all product categories. They will ensure that the change control and qualification processes are initiated and executed as required for identified projects and where applicable provide quality support for activities associated with the projects. The role will provide support to ensure the change control process is followed consistently and to provide clear communication to stakeholders throughout the project, including data collection and reporting.

This role is responsible for ensuring that new products meet quality standards throughout their development and launch phases. This role typically involves overseeing quality assurance processes, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that new products are introduced smoothly and meet customer expectations. Being well versed in identifying the risk of innovations in projects, you are therefore responsible for the development, promotion, and management of an effective quality system to protect the integrity of the scientific output of R&D and to support the management of its operation.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure consistent approach to quality and qualification during new product introduction across factories.

  • Maintain communication with stakeholders throughout the process to ensure alignment with planned execution of new processes due to new product launches.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial and Operations partners to align plans, priorities and resolve project issues.

  • Quick to accurately input and analyse risks, and able to present viable scenarios to decision-making forums.

  • Adopt and apply standard methodologies, processes, and systems.

  • Prepare the required documentation and reports in a timely and consistent manner.

  • Work together with teams responsible for products, brand marketing, engineering and factory to meet objectives and ensure delivery of projects.

  • Challenge status quo through constructive proposals utilizing new ways of working or approaches.

  • Achieve quality assurance (QA) operational objectives by contributing information, analysis to strategic plans, reviews, preparing and completing action plans, implementing production, productivity, and quality continuous improvement projects

  • Meeting customer-service standards by identifying and resolving problems, establish and completing audits, determining system improvements, propose, implementing and enforce changes and processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Quality Management. Master’s in quality management is preferred.

  • At least 10 years of experience in the relevant industry, with background in process/manufacturing engineering or product / process development / Projects Management etc.

  • Able to mobilise teams, foster enthusiasm, and individual contribution to achieve defined objectives.

  • Awareness of market research techniques relating to consumer product quality requirements

  • Understanding product performance in relation to consumer product quality requirements, competitor activities and market developments

  • Practical competence in analysis, problem solving and continuous improvement methods and techniques.

  • Applied knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Corporate Quality tools and measures

  • Know-how of key quality control/ assurance concepts and their implementation

  • Able to foster enthusiasm, influence, gain commitment to objectives, usually without direct authority.

  • Experienced in supplier qualification process
